Measurement Best Practices

✌️

The "Two-Finger" Rule

Place two fingers flat between the measuring tape and the dog's neck. The collar should fit snugly but not constrict. This ensures comfortable everyday wear.

πŸ“

Material Offsets

When wrapping webbing with fabric, allow an extra 1/2" of length to cover the thickness of folded seams and adjusters. Never cut paracord core lines exact.

⚠️

Slip Risk Breeds

For breeds with heads narrower than their necks (e.g. Greyhounds, Whippets), always recommend and build a Martingale Collar rather than standard buckles.

      Help & FAQ Support

Find answers to common printing, sizing, and crafting questions. If you need further help, please message support.

When printing, always open your system's print dialog and select "Actual Size" or set scale to "100%". Never select "Fit to Page" or "Shrink to Fit", as this will distort the pattern tolerances and lead to incorrect sizes. Every pattern includes a 1-inch ruler marker to verify scaling with a physical ruler after printing.

Yes! Your purchase includes a full commercial license to manufacture and sell physical collars built from these patterns on Etsy, Shopify, craft fairs, or retail. Re-distributing or selling the digital PDF files themselves, however, is strictly prohibited.

Always use a heavy-duty needle rated 90/14 (medium weight webbing) or 100/16 (heavyweight denim/jeans needle). Regular needles will snap instantly when stitching through double layers of heavy nylon webbing and fabric wraps.

We strongly recommend using heavy-duty bonded nylon (size T70 or #69) or 100% polyester thread. Avoid standard cotton thread, as it degrades rapidly when exposed to outdoor elements, moisture, and pulling friction, compromising safety.

For strong pullers or large dogs over 30 lbs, we always recommend welded metal buckles and heavy-duty load-rated D-rings. Plastic buckles are great for lightweight cats or small toy breeds, but lack the structural load capacity for larger dogs.
